Multi-Jurisdictional Program for Public Information (Atlantic-Cape and Northern Ocean-Monmouth)
A collaborative initiative where multiple local communities work together to share consistent flood-related information and promote public awareness and education.
How does it work?
Outreach Projects requires communities to educate residents about flood hazards and insurance. Instead of each town doing this alone, they form an MJPPI to share costs and expertise. MJPPi’s create a joint plan with specific messages and projects (e.g. brochures, presentations or signs) to meet their CRS Activity 330 requirements, earn CRS credits, and pass savings on to policyholders.
In Simple Terms: The MJPPI is a team-up for flood awareness that helps towns earn CRS points, leading to cheaper flood insurance for everyone in those towns
